Position Summary

The Manager, IT Infrastructure and Networking is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and advancing ISC2’s enterprise infrastructure environment. This leader will architect, implement, and optimize systems that support a global organization, with a strong focus on automation, resiliency, scalability, and security. The role combines strategic planning, enterprise-level design, and hands-on technical oversight, while managing and developing a high-performing engineering team. This position requires close partnership with business leaders to align technology with organizational strategy and ensure systems meet the demands of a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of system engineers and administrators; establish performance objectives, foster innovation, and build a culture of accountability.
  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for infrastructure and systems engineering, including cloud adoption, automation, and modernization initiatives.
  • Own and evolve ISC2’s global infrastructure footprint, ensuring reliability, security, compliance, and scalability.
  • Establish and monitor enterprise metrics for availability, resilience, and performance, with continuous improvement goals.
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and DevOps methodologies to streamline provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide configuration, asset, and service management processes, ensuring auditability and business continuity.
  • Provide Tier 3 escalation support and guide resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Partner with product, security, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions that advance business priorities.
  • Author and enforce policies, standards, and best practices for infrastructure engineering and operations.
  • Lead evaluations of emerging technologies and vendors to recommend strategic investments that maximize value.
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

  • Ability to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong communication and executive presence, able to influence across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure architecture, automation, and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation frameworks.
  • Solid background in network engineering (Cisco/HP switching, routing, VLANs, firewalls — Checkpoint preferred).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines including TeamCity and AzureDevOps.
  • Professional certifications highly desirable (CCSP, MCSE, CCNA, or equivalent).

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED with at least 12 years of progressive IT/infrastructure experience at the enterprise level in lieu of degree, acceptable.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT/infrastructure experience at the enterprise level, with 5+ years in leadership of high-performing technical teams.
  • Strong experience managing Microsoft clustered applications, Nutanix, and enterprise storage networks (Egnyte, SharePoint, Azure Blob).
  • Experience leading macOS and Windows enterprise environments.

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Travel up to 15% (domestic and international).
  • Participation in 24x7 on-call rotation as an executive escalation point.
  • Flexibility for extended or non-standard hours when critical issues arise.
  • Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods.
  • Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop and monitor computer screens.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
